Ruby Brown is a multidisciplinary artist exploring sensation, perception, and our bodily connections to the world.

Notable solo exhibitions include ‘Recent Works’ (2023) at LON Gallery and ‘Mist’ (2023) in collaboration with CAVES x CRAFT Contemporary. Her work has also been included in group shows, including ‘Itineraries of Escape’ (2023) and ‘Unfinished Works’ (2023) at Side Gate, as well as her participation in DAS BOOT (2022) at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art.

Ruby's work has been supported by residencies such as ‘He Whakaari Ātārangi: Shadow Play’ (2023) at Correspondences Studios, where she developed innovative approaches to integrating movement into her practice. Ruby holds a Graduate Certificate in Visual Art from the Victorian College of the Arts and a Bachelor of Education (Visual Art) from the University of Otago. Alongside formal education, Ruby has worked as a care worker, supporting artists in their homes and studios. These treasured relationships and experiences nurtured her artistic outlook.
